Alabama League of Municipalities is serving the residents since 1935. The municipality operates through various departments, including league commitments, legal departments, municipal classifieds, election and convention divisions. It provides a wide range of information on various areas, such as municipal salary and fringe benefit surveys, elected mayors, municipal changes, disposition, tax rates and forms, storm water manuals, disaster, and terrorism. Alabama League of Municipalities also offers various league operated and endorsed programs, including Municipal Workers Compensation Fund, Alabama Municipal Insurance Corporation Cable Television Franchise Management Service and Model City Ordinance Review Program. It also offers the Alabama Municipal Journal, a monthly official publication to the residents.
