Our CrossFit RTR Team is committed to providing the highest quality fitness experience for our members. We provide the best programming, top notch amenities, most supportive community and top of the line CrossFit and HIIT training equipment around. We have the most experienced and qualified coaches around, consisting of elite CrossFit competitors and coaches with multiple certifications, along with years of CrossFit experience. Our knowledge and our passion will help you to achieve your fitness goals! In addition to CrossFit, we offer a new high-intensity interval training program called Xcel. The Xcel (HIIT) classes are focused on heart rate training and feature four stations: 1 TrueForm running- We use TrueForm runners, which are self-propelled and cue proper running form 2 Weights- We use both Torpedoes (a combination of a kettlebell and a dumbbell) and bodyweight movements to build strength. You'll never use a barbell in Xcel 3 TRX- TRX suspension trainers constantly engage the core and allow everyone to choose the amount of effort they put into the movement 4 Cardio- In addition to the Truform runners, we rotate between Concept2 Rowers and SkiErgs, along with bodyweight movements to get your heart rate up
History
CrossFit RTR started out in the old Tuscaloosa YMCA. We quickly outgrew that space and moved into a much larger building, just a few blocks away. We are located in downtown Tuscaloosa, on Lurleen B Wallace Blvd N, approximately one mile from the UA campus. Our members span a variety of ages and athletic ability. We have the best, most welcoming community that helps one another stay motivated and excited to workout each day.
