Founded in 1920, Disabled American Veterans helps the disabled veterans and its families to live a better life. Based in Phoenix, Ariz., the organization represents over 200,000 veterans and its dependents with claims for benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs and Defense. It offers voluntary services program through a network of volunteers who provides free rides to and from VA medical facilities to improve care for the sick and disabled veterans. Disabled American Veterans members provide advocacy, lawmakers and the public about important issues to supporting services and legislation to help the needy.
