RotorWay International is one of the world's oldest and largest kit helicopter manufacturers. The company produces a light helicopter with comprehensive engineering. RotorWay International evolved from a company called RotorWay Aircraft, which premiered its first kit helicopter model, the Scorpion, at the 1967 Oshkosh Fly-In. In 1994, the company moved to a 37,000 square-foot facility and has been 100 percent employee owned since 1996. RotorWay International has sold helicopters in more than 50 countries throughout the world. The company maintains a presence at shows throughout the United States and its major product line is the 162F-style helicopter. RotorWay International maintains its headquarters in Chandler, Ariz., and was founded in 1990.
