Andres Ricardo Schneeberger, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist and associate professor of psychiatry at UC San Diego School of Medicine. With expertise in treating adults with anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, PTSD, OCD, and personality disorders, Dr. Schneeberger also specializes in providing gender-affirming care to transgender and nonbinary patients. His research interests include mental health care delivery, minority mental health, and the impact of minority status on mental health outcomes.
Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, Dr. Schneeberger held various clinical and leadership positions in Switzerland, including clinical director at Psychiatric Services Grisons and chief psychiatrist at a private clinic. He completed his residency training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and earned his medical degree from the University of Basel Medical School in Switzerland. Dr. Schneeberger is fluent in Spanish, German, Italian, and French, and in his free time, he enjoys running, cooking, outdoor activities, and spending time with his dogs.
