Established in 1935, Catholic Charities of the East Bay is a multiservice nonprofit agency. It offers various programs, such as the adopt-a-family, collaborative for emancipated foster youth, Catholic campaign for human development, Christmas adopt-a-family, and Christmas turkey giveaway programs. The agency also offers the early childhood job training, even start family literacy, HIV short-term housing, housing counseling, hurricane Katrina case management, operation new hope for incarcerated youth, and project joybells programs. It provides the refugee marriage and family strengthening, refugee resettlement, school counseling, Southeast Asian senior services, and youth community violence prevention programs as well.
