Founded in 1984, Urban Education Partnership was formerly known as Los Angeles Educational Partnership. The agency is one of the foremost educational transformation organizations in Los Angeles. It serves more than 1,500 educators and over 75,000 students. It offers services to low-income group and multicultural communities throughout Los Angeles County, Calif. The agency also offers career academy programs that engage parents, educators, community members, and business and university leaders to help young people earn high school degrees, pursue higher education and achieve professional success. Its Humanitas program engages nearly350 teachers and approximately 10,000 students. In addition, Urban Education Partnership provides a school-based coaching services program that promotes literacy in English, language arts, science and social studies.
