Bonni Marie Dance Studio is owned and operated by none other than Bonni Marie—the establishment's solitary instructor. She has been instructing dance for a cumulative of more than 35 years, and 20 of those have been in Coronado. The studio occupies half of the first floor at the historical Coronado Victorian House on the corner of 8th Street and D Avenue. Dancers come from a range of backgrounds and experience levels, with an estimated 80 percent adults and 20 percent children. At the studio, dancing is viewed as artistic expression as well as a method of relaxation. In general, class sizes are small (about 9-12 dancers) to ensure instruction is hands-on and specific to student needs. Private lessons are available upon request for any type of dancing Bonni Marie can accommodate—from a solo ballet lesson to couples' ballroom dancing instruction. Class schedules are varied and the best way to determine availability is to contact the studio directly.
