Lotusland Foundation, founded in 1941, owns and manages botanic garden spread over an area of more than 37 acres, under the name of Lotusland. The garden offers a variety of plants and trees, including shrubs, alpines, perennial, climbers, conifers, grasses and ferns. It also provides additional services that include layout and planting ideas, soil testing, maintenance and pruning. The foundation also undertakes educational outreach programs, and organizes summer events, school and college garden trips. Its Web site offers virtual tours, online reservations, purchase of entry tickets and membership information. The garden also has a shop that offers a variety of pots, plants, hats, gloves, books and decorative items to visitors. Lotusland Foundation is located in Santa Barbara, Calif.
