HistoryI have been working as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2013. My training specialty is Expressive Arts Therapy which I feel passionate about. I also incorporate eco-therapy from my time as a Wilderness Therapy guide before graduate school. I find nature to be extremely nourishing and healing. In the last few years I have been trained in Hakomi, a mindfulness, somatic(body-oriented), therapy that compliments the Expressive Arts and nature based work very well. Currently, I am integrating more spirituality and shamanic traditions into my work.SpecialtiesTherapy with Karina is unique because she provides not only a space to talk, but also integrates art, somatic/mindfulness and nature based therapy into her sessions. Karina has a really warm presence and is very genuine in her care and concern for her clients. She takes a holistic approach, incorporating spirituality, physical well being and mental/emotional states into consideration.
