For more than 45 years, Remo has broken new ground when it comes to industry firsts. It began after World War II when experiments were being made with Mylar, a trademarked polyester film made by DuPont. This unusually durable, inexpensive, weather resistant material intrigued Remo D. Belli, who founded the firm and started making Weatherking drumheads. In the following years, the company produced some of the world s most recorded drumheads. With the advent of Advanced Acousticon, Remo is one of the leaders in the percussion business.
