Bureau of Jewish Education promotes learning and plays a vital role in fostering meaningful Jewish continuity and strengthening contemporary American-Jewish life. BJE is a leader in formulating dynamic responses to the challenges facing schools and families who provide children with a Jewish education in both formal and nonformal settings. It establishes standards of practice, encourages and provides for the professional growth of educators, contributes to the development of skilled leaders and promotes Jewish educational opportunities for its children. BJE also engages in strategic planning, agenda setting and resource development and allocation. It serves as a unifying force, linking schools and organizations to one another and providing access to new and exciting programs, methods and technologies. It provides educational services to strengthen Jewish education in a broad network of affiliated institutions as well as financial aid to schools and families in support of access to Jewish education and improved quality of education.
