The Hollydale Regional Park is operated by the City of South Gate Parks and Recreation Department. The park is one of the largest in Los Angeles County, and covers more than 56 acres of green lawn. The park is adjacent to the Los Angeles River, which also has a bike path for cyclists and non-motorized vehicles. It has a playground, tennis courts, baseball and soccer fields. It boasts a picnic area that allows groups of 50 people or more to gather, although a permit must be issued beforehand by the Parks Department. There is also an equestrian center located nearby that can also be reserved.
