LARC Foundation, located in Saugus, Calif., offers more than 10 fullyequipped five-plus bed homes. The nearly 3,000-square-foot homes are complete with all the comforts, including large capacity Maytag washers and dryers, dishwashers, microwave ovens and entertainment centers. Apart from the residential community, the organization also operates an adult development center and a day training activity center. The adult development center works towards maintaining the intellectual, physical, emotional and social well-being of the participants. Its physical fitness facilities include a gymnasium for music-based aerobic sessions and indoor sports activities. Its trained program staff involves program participants in physical activities adapted to each person's needs and skills. The day training activity center offers work-oriented program with a focus on preparing participants to enter into the work force and to thrive in a workplace.
