Assumption Catholic Elementary School is Roman Catholic, coeducational, nonprofit school that is a ministry of Assumption Parish of San Leandro. It maintains a parent-teacher group that provides a support system whereby parents can work together to accomplish tasks that benefit students and the administration of the school. The school provides academic instruction to students in kindergarten through grade eight. Assumption Catholic Elementary School maintains a library media center that offers a collection of over 5,000 books on animals, biographies, mysteries, fantasies, adventures and humor. It is affiliated with the National Catholic Educational Association and is located in San Leandro, Calif.
