HistoryAlthough I have been photographing events and landscapes before college, I began using RLSFoto as a simpler way for people to find me as the spelling of my name (Reidar Schopp) can be challenging. I started shooting weddings and other events with my mom Jeanne Dobbs Schopp as a kid I started by carrying the battery pack for her strobe, then loading her film holders, and then being a second shooter. I think the first wedding I shot as the primary shooter was Dale Deeter over thirty years ago. Through the years I have expanded to engagement photos, portraits, private commissions (including various genres within Boudoir). Recently I have expanded into cross country and marathons as my wife and daughter are long distance runners and race sponsors have had me photograph the runners, but not at the finish line, I am out on the course capturing the candid moments as the runners push themselves.
