Sizzler franchise started as a mom and pop enterprise in Culver City in 1958, and now boasts 273 locations around the world. Sizzler originally began as a steak house, and true to its history, good steak dinners are still its primary draw, although the seasonings and options have varied over the years. The buffet also serves seafood, chicken, burgers and sandwiches, as well as an enormous salad bar for those who like to at least appear to be watching their diets.
