Growing up in Los Angeles, there is an ongoing fight against gangs & gun violence in minority areas. As Parents we do everything possible to shield our children from the dangers of the world: Keeping them Engaged in Arts, Sports, Entrepreneurship or other productive and safe activities. It was our goal to provide our children with a better life than our own, giving them tools to succeed. Unfortunately, on February 3rd 2018 our family was torn apart. My children lost their father in a drive by shooting a day after we celebrated his 28th birthday. We were devastated. Our children are very young and they have had a hard time coping with the loss of their father. So, I decided to turn lemons into lemonade and start up a lemonade business in memory of their father. Sonny's Lemonade has been our way to give back to the community and keep Sonny's name alive. Our passion is to shift the paradigm in our community by turning tragedy into triumph.
