I started Susan Tutors after I retired from teaching middle and high school English. ( I then launched a rewarding career teaching ESL Adult School and I realized the need for English-learners to have personal, one on one tutoring in order to make progress in their English language acquisition and proficiency That is when I started tutoring in my home. My students say that I have a knack for zeroing in on their strengths and needs which saves time and frustration.
Specialties
With more than 15 years' experience tutoring English and English as a Second Language, I specialize in evaluating my students' strengths and needs. I do my homework in preparing individual lesson plans that will help each student progress seamlessly in conjunction with his or her school curriculum. I have a Master's Degree in Special Education, Area of Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing and am capable of basic ASL. I am professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and motivated.
