The Bowery is a New York style bar and bistro located in the heart of Hollywood near Sunset and Vine. Serving bistro fare like brioche mac'n'cheese, fried shrimp battered in Belgium beer and maybe the best burgers in L.A., along with a serious liquor bar and a fine selection of beers and wines. Five stars go to the onion rings and the sweet potato fries. Conveniently located near the Arclight Theater, the Bowery is a good pre-theatre dinner choice, an after-work spot and a late-night rendezvous because it stays open until 2am. Very casual with cozy booths, a friendly staff this establishment doesn't take reservations. There's outdoor patio dining for the smoking crowd. After 6pm, there is metered parking along Sunset and up Argyle. Valet parking is also available.
