Since 1908, the Army Reserve has existed to keep the active army strong, and to make sure there is adequate manpower if and when it is needed. Soldiers in the Army Reserve have served in both peacekeeping and humanitarian missions, from WWI to the global war on terrorism. Concord's Army Reserve office is shared with the Marine Reserve in a large complex on Willow Pass Road, near the ball fields.
