The Valu Plus Food Warehouse is located in the sprawling Flags Over Mission Shopping Plaza, next to the The Mission Bazaar. It is owned by KV Mart, one of the largest independent grocery store chains in Southern California. Since the warehouse buys items in bulk to fill its 23 stores, it passes down the savings to the shopper. It is like a normal market that’s filled with fresh produce, a butcher for meat and poultry and a deli for sandwich fixings. There’s also a cheese section, a bakery and a housewares department, which sells cleaning and cooking supplies. This location is run by Gerardo Lopez, who is the director of store operations.
