History
I began my yoga practice in 1996 as an undergrad. I was amazed at how yoga enhanced my focus, helped me sleep better, and made me feel in my body. In 2005, I completed my first yoga teacher training and have taught group classes and worked with individual clients since that time. My continuing studies and my work with clients have informed the tools and techniques I use to design an intelligent, safe and mindful program that weaves asana (physical postures), meditation, yoga philosophy, kinesiology and yoga therapy to create an evidenced-based approach to facilitate health and healing. My clients include pregnant and new moms and individuals in recovery from cancer and other chronic diseases. Many of my clients have difficulty in group yoga classes (for a variety of reasons) or can't find a class that works for their busy schedule. I love sharing the practice of yoga and seeing the transformation that takes place with a consistent yoga practice.
