The Denver Women's Chorus (DWC) is a multigenerational treble chorus that has been dedicated to musical excellence, community building, and advocating for social justice for over 40 years. DWC was founded in 1984 by a group of courageous lesbian singers who risked their livelihoods to create a safe space for musical expression. Today, DWC is proud to be a trans- and nonbinary-inclusive chorus, comprised of LGBTQAI singers and allies, and they strive to promote social change through their powerful performances throughout the greater Denver area.
Take Note, the select auditioned ensemble of the Denver Women's Chorus, specializes in a cappella music and consists of 12-15 talented treble voices. They collaborate with other nonprofit organizations, perform at various venues, and can be booked for private events. With their diverse repertoire and commitment to community outreach, Take Note plays a vital role in promoting DWC's mission of inclusivity and empowerment through music.
