Beau Jo s Management Company operates six Beau Jo s Pizza locations in Idaho Springs, Denver, Arvada, Littleton, Fort Collins and Evergreen, Colo. The original Beau Jo's started in 1973 in Idaho Springs with only an 18-seat capacity. The location now seats more than 700 and occupies four storefronts on Miner Street. The restaurants serve Colorado-style pizza, which is distinguished by toppings that are piled high and encircled by a honey-slathered crust. Beau Jo's uses more than 32,000 pounds, or 16 tons, of mountain honey annually. Beau Jo s Pizza has been repeatedly voted Denver's best by restaurant critics, and it won the Westwood Readers Choice Award in 2006.
