Putnam Elementary School provides educational and enrichment programs to students in prekindergarten through grade six. The school has a library media center that offers a collection of approximately 10,000 books and periodicals. It has a staff of nearly 130 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals. Putnam Elementary School offers academic classes in a range of courses, such as fine and performing arts, music, physical education, English, math, science, life skills and social studies. The school is a part of the Putnam School District, which serves over 1,200 students in three schools.
