The Walgreens District Office manages and oversees the operations of Walgreens stores and pharmacies throughout Glastonbury and the greater Hartford area. The first Walgreens was founded more than 100 years ago in 1901 by Charles R. Walgreens Sr. in Chicago. The pharmacy franchise is now a respected nationwide corporation with more than 6,000 locations.
