Curves is a women's fitness facility that has made a name for itself with its 30-minute circuit workout programs.
All the machines are placed in a circle with boards in between that can be used for active rest or other exercises. As clients arrive, they simply join the circuit at a machine or board that's open and continue around until 30 minutes later, the circuit -- and their workout -- is completed.
There's no time wasted adjusting machines, as the resistance is built in and adjusts to each person's level. Both cardio and resistance workouts are accomplished in each session. Members can burn as much as 500 calories per session.
