Miramar Police Department s goal is to continue making the city of Miramar, Fla., a safer place for residents. The department encourages community partnerships, protects the safety and well-being of its citizens and takes a proactive stance through crime prevention programs. It is committed to maintaining a strong relationship with residents. The Miramar Police Department is staffed with more than 200 employees. It is accredited by The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies and by The Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation. The Miramar Police Department is divided into the office of the chief of police, community-oriented policing bureau, special operations bureau and support services bureau.
