Orange County Animal Services Division offers a range of services for the protection of the health and safety of Orange County citizens and its pet population. Its services include state statute and county code enforcement, as well as abused and abandoned animal rescue. The division also conducts a neuter surgery program and promotes pet adoptions. In addition, Orange County Animal Services Division offers community educational services and takes outreach initiatives. Established by the Orange County Board of County Commissioners in 1969, the division assists in controlling the spread of rabies virus. It is responsible for minimizing free-roaming pets. The division is located in Orlando, Fla.
