Located in Bunnell, Fla., Flagler County Sheriff's Office is created by state legislators and was founded in 1917. Its fiscal division is responsible for overseeing the budget that funds the entire operations of the Flagler County Sheriff's Office and the inmate facility. It also provides emotional support to the victims, witnesses and their families. It provides a variety of services, including crisis intervention, personal advocacy, information and referral for various types of assistance and guidance with filing victim compensation. The agency has various divisions, including patrol, special operations, criminal investigations and youth services. Its civil section serves judicial process, enforcing judgments and orders that originate from the supreme court, circuit courts, county courts and board of county commissioners.
