Across from the airport is an upscale shopping and dining center located at the International Plaza, which is within walking distance from the airport. TIA has two full service fixed base operators. It reaches more than 3,000 acres in length and hosts more than 17 million passengers. Created in 1971, Tampa International Airport has several restaurants and provides services for numerous airlines including American Airlines.
