Founded in 1991, The Healthy Start Coalition of Hillsborough County recruits and empowers collaborative, community-based program ownership to identify, evaluate and recommend new and enhanced comprehensive maternal-child health and social services. It educates, promotes positive birth outcomes and protects the health and well-being of mothers and children in Hillsborough County, Fla. It has partnership with local public and private medical professionals, hospitals, schools, charities, social services agencies, the United Way and individuals. The Healthy Start Coalition of Hillsborough County s members work together for the solution of local health problems that affect pregnant women and their families. It is located in Tampa, Fla.
