The Wilton Manors Police Department works to preserve peace and deter criminal activities through the enforcement of local, state, and federal laws and ordinances. It operates an administrative bureau that is comprised of criminal investigative and records management units. The department s operations bureau maintains bicycle and marine patrol and K-9 units. The Wilton Manors Police Department has a traffic unit that enforces laws governing the safe operation of motor vehicles and monitors speed limit violators. The Wilton Manors Police Department conducts National Night Out, Crime Stoppers, Gang Resistance Education and Training (G.R.E.A.T.) and Resisting Aggression Defensively (R.A.D.) programs. In addition, it supports the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program, which focuses on the prevention of illegal drug use, gang activities and violent behavior. The department also provides fingerprinting services for the residents of Wilton Manors, Fla. The Wilton Manors Police Department employs than 40 sworn and nonsworn officers.
