The Harvest School, located on North DeShong Road close to Rockbridge Road and DeShong Park, accepts children from six weeks to 12 years of age. It offers a prekindergarten class and a private preschool class. The school uses Macmillan Math, Early Reader and Pinnacle curricula. Spanish is taught four days a week. The Harvest School stresses interaction in the community. Programs include visiting a local senior citizens center or taking the children to visit the center. A local librarian makes trips to the school to read to the children.
