History
Established in 1979, Georgia Highlands Medical Services, Inc. (GHMS) is a non-profit Community Health Center Program. GHMS is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that is governed by an elected Board of Directors, composed of local community residents, civic leaders, and other professionals who set policy and chart the strategic direction for the organization. GHMS is recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) as a Patient-Centered Medical Home at the highest level of recognition (Level III), is a founding member of the Georgia Association for Primary Health Care (GAPHC), and is a member of the National Association of Community Health Centers.

Georgia Highlands Medical Services is a non-profit Community Health Center (CHC) serving the medical needs of North Georgia since 1979. The offices of Georgia Highlands Medical Services are staffed by dedicated Board Certified Physicians, Physician's Assistants and Family Nurse Practitioners who practice general medicine. Our medical providers are assisted by licensed nurses and certified medical assistants. Our services cover the entire spectrum of modern medicine. Our offices are open to the general public, adults and children, regardless of residence or income.
