Jetaire Aerospace & Technology was founded in 1984 as a full-service aircraft systems integrator. The company initially focused its attention on developing kits and obtaining supplemental type certificates from the Federal Aviation Administration for airlines and aircraft lease holders. During the first 10 years of operation, Jetaire completed more than 900 engineering programs for various commercial aircraft manufacturers and operators throughout the world. The company also completed a United States Navy contract to design and install cargo doors and cargo smoke/fire detection and suppression systems on a fleet of 20 C-9 aircraft.
