Established in 1985, The Bedford School is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the remediation of specific learning disabilities for children in grades one through nine. It provides more than 130 of its students with an opportunity to participate in activities that help improve social skills and self-esteem. In addition to classrooms, the school s facilities include library, gymnasium, locker rooms, computer labs, cafeteria, media center, and art and conference rooms. Additionally, it has an on-site playground, soccer field, swimming pool and outdoor classrooms. The Bedford School conducts classes in English, math, science, social studies, language arts, computers and physical education. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Georgia Accrediting Commission. The Bedford School is located in Fairburn, Ga.
