PBD provides product fulfillment services and solutions to associations, publishers and corporations worldwide. The corporation processes, fulfills and ships more than 1.7 million packages a year. PBD accounts fall into two full-service categories or front-end accounts and fulfillment only or back-end accounts. Front-end clients outsource their entire operation to PBD to take orders through phone, fax, mail, e-mail and the Internet. Orders are processed through the company s JDEdwards distribution software, which tracks sales, order status, inventory, payment, delivery and other information. Back-end clients collect their own customer orders and transmit them in batches to PBD, where they are processed for fulfillment.
