Dr. King is a Diplomat of the American Board of Urology. He provides comprehensive urologic care for men and women while addressing a variety of urologic conditions including stone disease, BPH, overactive bladder, incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and cancers of the kidney, bladder and prostate. A member of the American Urologic Association, he is trained in a breadth of urologic procedures including minimally invasive endourologic and robotic surgeries. A native of Southwestern Virginia, he earned his undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech. Dr. King seeks to employ the school's motto, Ut Prosim, "That I May Serve", to his practice of urology and patient care. A varsity football letter-winner for the Hokies, he understands the importance of teaming together to find a solution for each patient and family. Dr. King feels that working through challenges and celebrating successes are equally important aspects of the patient-physician relationship. After graduating from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, he would complete his general surgery internship and urologic surgery residency at the Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, West Virginia. He has traveled as a physician trainer, instructing colleagues in MRI-targeted prostate needle biopsy. He was privileged to perform the first prostate Aquablation utilizing the Hydros platform in the state of South Carolina and seeks to offer the latest evidence-based therapies to his patients. A second-generation urologist, Dr. King is known for his bedside manner and easy-going demeanor. Married to a greater Atlanta native, together they enjoy spending time with their daughter and families, dancing, cheering on beloved sports teams, and traveling.
