Opened in 2008, Spice Market serves small dishes of fusion cuisine inspired by Thai street food. The 240-seat restaurant is located on the second floor of the W Hotel. Although Spice Market is locally managed and uses produce from local farmers, it's part of a small chain. It's one of three designed by French chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten (the other two are in New York City and in Doha, Qatar). Vongerichten developed the menu after traveling in Southeast Asia. The dishes are served family-style and meant to be shared. The alcohol menu features wine, beer, sake and specialty cocktails. The Passion Fruit Whiskey Fizz and Ginger Margarita are especially popular. Spice Market also serves a more traditional breakfast menu of cereals, eggs, pancakes and French toast. Reservations can be made by phone or via Open Table on Spice Market's website or at opentable.com.
