Founded in 1970, Morris comprises two divisions: Morris Newspaper Corporation, which owns and operates more than 90 daily and weekly newspapers, shoppers and niche publications; and Morris Network, which owns and operates four network affiliate television stations. In 2003, Morris announced the purchase of two television stations in Columbus, Miss. In 2004, two of Morris Media s Tennessee publications were exchanged for a Gannett daily newspaper in Gainesville, Ga. Morris Multimedia is headquartered in the historic Oliver Sturges House in Savannah, Ga.
