The City of Winterville is an incorporated municipality, but is also a part of unified Athens-Clarke County. It lies about six miles east of the University of Georgia campus and has a population of about 1,100.
The Winterville Mayor and Council hold both council meetings and agenda-setting sessions, usually one each per month. The City Council meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 P.M. in City Hall. The agenda is set at a meeting on the first Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in Winterville City Hall.
The Winterville Planning & Zoning Board meets at 7:00 P.M. in Winterville City Hall.
The public is welcome at all of these meetings.
