Information System Services Branch (ISSB) is the application development, maintenance and system integration arm of the Office of Information and Telecommunications Services, which is a part of the Hawaii State Department of Education. It encompasses personnel, student, property and financial records. The branch also deals in automated recordkeeping applications related to the inventory, allocation and expenditure of resources. Information System Services Branch assists with budget preparation and execution. The Hawaii State Department of Education governs more than 255 regular and over 10 adult community schools. The department additionally manages nearly 30 public charter schools. It serves approximately 177,000 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12.
