Ajinomoto Heartland is one of six companies affiliated with Ajinomoto Animal Nutrition group, a worldwide leader of feed-grade amino acid manufacturing. Ajinomoto Heartland manufactures and distributes feed-grade amino acids and provides amino acid nutritional research and technical support. The company operates an amino acid plant in Eddyville, Iowa. Since operations began in 1986, the plant has undergone Lysine expansions to increase production to meet demand in North America. Ajinomoto Heartland maintains warehouses throughout North America to provide products to customers. The plant maintains a quality assurance program and is ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:1996 certified.
