Altounian Builders was founded in 1968 as a general contractor and construction management firm with projects throughout the North Shore and Chicago areas in Illinois. The firm, located in Lake Bluff, Ill., specializes in commercial and retail construction, including new construction, renovations and build outs. Altounian has a staff that consists of executive project managers, administrative office and accounting staff, job supervisors, field superintendents and field forces. Each project has a management team led by either a project executive or job supervisor who supervises on-site progress, administration, cost-control and communication between the client and architect. The construction firm also provides concrete work, rough carpentry, drywall, custom carpentry and millwork. Additionally, an administrative office staff, with in-house accounting and computing systems provides daily updated job cost reports and analysis.
