History
Prior to the Olsens purchasing Genesis in 1993, the Christian book store in Monmouth was known as Genesis A Bookstore. Genesis was located within the Starting Point ministry at the old YMCA building on First Street. The Lord put it on Carol's heart to take over the bookstore ministry and give it a new location. Jim and Carol Olsen moved Genesis just a half block on First Street in April of 1993 with the help of a lot of friends. Just two years later Genesis Christian Books & Supplies was bursting at the seams so those same friends returned and moved Genesis to 218 South Main Street doubling the size of the original location. After eight years on South Main the opportunity came to sell that building to Gus Munoz and the Olsens started looking for a new location. The present building on the square in Monmouth is the same square footage but definitely has a lot more charm due in large part to the twelve foot high antique tin ceiling.

We provide genuine care and attention to every detail that our customers require. Our Bible selection is outstanding for a small town store and we offer free imprinting on any imprintable Bible. We specialize in finding the product that our Christian brothers and sisters are searching for.
