Coilcraft was founded in 1945 as a customized coil maker for the television set manufacturers in Chicago. Today, the privately held company produces inductors for clients in computer manufacturing, instrumentation, telecommunications and electronics industries. It has in-house engineering and manufacturing capabilities, as well as produces standard and off-the-shelf products in accordance with the customers specifications. Coilcraft s product line includes electromagnetic interference filters, high-frequency power magnetics, and radio-frequency and regular and power surface-mount inductors. It maintains several facilities in the United States and Mexico, as well as manufacturing plants in Taiwan, Singapore, China and Malaysia. Additionally, the company manages online design tools for inductor matching, converter inductor and light emitting diode.
