TCWC was founded in May, 1974 and conducted its first fine wine auction in April, 1977, making TCWC only the second company (after Heublein) to conduct wine auctions in the U.S. After over 45 years of being in the fine wine business we have formed relationships that have allowed us to offer quality wines at competitive prices.

The Chicago Wine Company (TCWC) offers one of the finest and most comprehensive selections of both young and well-cellared mature wines in the U.S. We offer customers the ability to buy or sell wines for immediate retail purchase or through our frequent auctions. We know provenance and storage are important to our customers (as it is to us). All bottles stored at TCWC enjoy year-round temperature control and very high security. TCWC is also the host of exciting dinners and tastings each year, such as the annual Fete du Bordeaux, celebrating the arrival of the latest vintage from Bordeaux as well as smaller tastings and dinners focusing on individual producers.
