History
Since the early 70's, V-Lab's owner, Varouj Kokuzian, has worked with the forerunners of the photographic industry in Chicago, apprenticing in everything from splicing negs to sorting & spotting prints. Having worked his way up to studying in the darkroom, he has become the leading silver halide printer in the industry. He has been a photo lab operations manager since 1986. He created V-Lab in 2004 & has worked with the very best photographers in the commercial & fine art fields. At V-Lab, we have perfected the traditional process ever since, but as the world changes to digital technology, we embrace it as well & now we can make both old and new worlds happy. We make sure that our digital black & white comes as close as possible to the traditional analogue that we know and love and it has gained us all a true expertise in our trade. You can't find this kind of quality anywhere else.
